Rules for Loan of Club V1:
Only members who have been deemed competent by Coaches can book and utilise the Club V1 canoe for training purposes only, provided they train with at least one other person. Members are not permitted to take the V1 canoe out on their own.
Members not deemed fully competent can book, provided a Coach or approved facilitator is in attendance during the allocated time slot.
Members are responsible for checking the V1 canoe prior to use, ensuring it is fully equipped with a bailer (tow rope & life vest required, if approved to use outside the seaway) and lashing has been checked (members must have the ability to re-rig, if necessary).
Any damage must be reported to the MC no matter how small and regardless if it’s prior, during or after loan. Members use the V1 canoe at their own risk and must take full responsibility for any damage sustained. Please note: Members are not covered under their AOCRA Insurance if the canoe is used outside of a scheduled club training session.
Members loaning the Club V1 canoe must ensure upon completion that the V1 canoe is put back onto the rack, tied down and secured with the combination lock.
